In cold plasma coagulation, medicinal helium gas serves as a carrier medium for the electrical current. Non-contact coagulation is possible thanks to an ionised, pure helium jet.
The method offers excellent patient safety as no electrical current flows through the body in this technology. It is not necessary to use a neutral electrode.
