Söring was founded in 1985 by Holger Söring in Quickborn, Germany, and quickly developed from a pioneer in ultrasound technology to one of the global market leaders in ultrasound and high-frequency surgery. With trendsetting innovations such as the world’s first cold plasma coagulation device or the “pen-sized” smallest ultrasound handpiece, Söring has been setting new benchmarks in medical engineering for many years – and will continue to do so in the future.

The first functional prototype of Sonoca is presented at a neurosurgery convention.

1989

Malaysia succeeds in the first successful separation of Siamese twins,who share one liver. Söring becomes known worldwide.

1990

First Sonoca sold to the USA.

1993

Arco MC is the first Söring mass-produced device. The Argon Coagulator allows the precise cauterization of blood vessels and stopping of hemorrhages.

1999

Introduction of Sonoca Lipo for liposuction. The new technology destroys fat cells through cavitation, protects the connective tissue and significantly reduces the physical effort needed by the surgeon.
